Animal Crossing: New Horizons X Seattle Aquarium Partnership
The Seattle Aquarium is proud to have hosted the debut Animal Crossing™: New Horizons themed Aquarium experience, in partnership with Nintendo of America. It was the first aquarium experience like this in North America! The Aquarium’s partnership with Nintendo of America ran from October 7, 2023, through March 31, 2024.
Here’s what guests found at the Aquarium during the partnership:
- Standees of familiar characters from the game throughout the Aquarium.
- A bingo scavenger hunt to play via smart devices.
- An Animal Crossing™: New Horizons photo opportunity, featuring an aquarium-themed background with characters from the game.
- Themed creature descriptions presented by Blathers with information directly from the game.
We also enjoyed some special events! The Aquarium hosted six stamp rallies featuring the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game with collectible souvenirs as prizes. We also had costumed characters visit for meet and greets during the opening and closing weekends of our partnership.
All that, on top of the fun of visiting the Seattle Aquarium, exploring the habitats and coming face-to-face with a fascinating array of marine animals.
