WHEN: Thursday, October 24 at 12pm (Crew set-up at 11:45am)
WHERE: Seattle Aquarium, 1483 Alaskan Way, Pier 59, Seattle, WA
WHAT: We’re inching closer to the spookiest time of the year: Halloween! To celebrate, the Seattle Aquarium is getting ready to put our divers’ creativity to the test—by having them carve pumpkins underwater! The main event is happening on October 26 and 27, but we’re giving you a sneak peek of the action. On October 24, you can watch our divers turn their pumpkins into masterpieces, all while fending off curious fish. Visitors will be able to view various floating fish-o’-lanterns in the Window on Washington Waters habitat through Halloween.
On October 26 and 27, families can celebrate Halloween early by trick-or-treating at designated stations throughout the Aquarium. There will also be more underwater pumpkin carvings and a master carver making pieces of art with pumpkins weighing more than 600 pounds!
Visitors to the Seattle Aquarium and the Ocean Pavilion expansion can also explore several other habitats seeing colorful local and tropical fish up close, as well as sea lions, sea otters, shorebirds, jellies, tide pool animals, and more. We’re open daily, 9:30am–6pm. Learn more at SeattleAquarium.org/tickets.
