Time for a cephalopod celebration!
SEAlebrity Octopus Week took place February 17–25, 2024 at the Seattle Aquarium. Octopus Week activities included hands-on learning opportunities, an online stream of Lightning Talks: Cephalopods, and stamp rallies featuring the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game.

2024 Octopus Week offerings
Fun, hands-on activities at the Aquarium
The Aquarium hosted special hands-on activities showcasing the amazing octopus, their relatives and their adaptations. Additional daily activities included:
- Parachute game at Puget Sound Hall
- Story time at Puget Sound Hall
- Octopus feeding and enrichment at the octopus habitat
Lightning Talks: Cephalopods
During this virtual event, five speakers each had five minutes to dazzle the audience with information about octopuses and other cephalopods. Audience members also had the chance to ask questions afterward.

Stamp rally featuring the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game
Aquarium guests participated in exciting stamp rallies featuring characters from the Animal Crossing™: New Horizons game on the Nintendo Switch™ system. Participants received a postcard featuring octopus characters and a collectible pin for completing the rally. Learn more about our Animal Crossing: New Horizons partnership.
