About Homeschool Days

Homeschool Days are open to students in kindergarten through high school and are designed to be family learning days. Capacity is limited. Advance reservations are required and processed based on availability. Ticket sales for Homeschool Days close at noon the day before the event.

Caregivers are expected to stay in the classrooms with their child; this is not a drop-off program. Caregivers must be 21 years or older and are encouraged to actively participate in activities and monitor student behavior.

Siblings of students can attend programs with their families as well. Caregivers are welcome to step out of the classroom briefly to attend to children as needed; a corner with activities reserved for younger children will be available as well.

Aquarium admission, including to the new Ocean Pavilion expansion, is included with Homeschool Days tickets.

Check-in for the event will be at the south group entrance of Pier 59 ONLY. Guest Services at our main entrance cannot process entry for this event.

During the designated program times, follow signs to the classrooms on the second floor of Pier 59. Staff will also be on hand to guide you.

All reservations for Homeschool Days must be prepaid. All payments are non-refundable. Refunds will not be given for any unused portion of your order, such as no-shows or cancellations. Please note that program prices, themes and schedules are subject to change.

Homeschool groups are held to the same code of conduct as all school group visitors, including minimum chaperone ratios. Please see our school group FAQ for more information about field trips to the Seattle Aquarium. Please also review our field trip code of conduct.

Signups to participate in our 2024 homeschool programming survey are now closed

Thank you to everyone who submitted their contact information for the Seattle Aquarium’s School & Public Programs team to poll about what you want to see from future homeschool programming. Creation of the survey has been delayed from its original release date. We hope to have it ready to share before the end of the calendar year to help us begin planning our next Homeschool Days events.

This survey will also be sent to participants in our November 21 Homeschool Days event.

Once again, thank you for your understanding and support as we adjust to our new capacity. We hope to “sea” you and your students at the Aquarium soon!

Additional questions can be directed to our Registration team at registration@seattleaquarium.org.
